You will also need to inform the organisers of:

I am really sorry that you did not receive this note today. The notes were hiding on my desk and I completely forgot to hand them out!

The Incredible Journey

Our topic this term will have a Health and Wellbeing and Literacy focus. We are going to be learning about ‘The Incredible Journey’.

To begin, we have been learning about the characters in the story and beginning to create our own story frieze.

Here we are hard at work!

Interested in Running?

CROWN PRIMARY SCHOOL

We just heard about this exciting opportunity that’s held at Bught Park each week and knowing that Cross Country season is just around the corner I thought some of our budding runners (and their families!) might be interested!parkrun logoParkrun is a free, weekly, timed event (a run, not a race), open to all – men and women, boys and girls, of whatever standard. In Inverness, it takes place at 9.30 every Saturday morning and comprises 3 laps of the Bught Park, slightly adjusted to make the standard course distance of 5 km. Home Learning from Ms Mackenzie!

Last year you all got a homework assignment from Ms MacKenzie and you’re all getting another one this year! To celebrate the opening of our 21st Century Learning Zone (which WILL be finished soon!) we want to fill our school with ‘extreme readers’.

What does that mean and what do you have to do?

Your homework task is to take a photo of YOU reading your favourite book in the most wild and wacky place imaginable! Your photo should be in school (hand it in to your teacher) on or before Monday 1st September – have FUN! Have a look at the main school blog to find a few photos to inspire you!

Our first week!

Here we are enjoying our very first week in P3/4!

We have been so busy with literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing activities. We met Mr Lee who will teach the class on a Monday and part of a Tuesday morning. We also had our first P.E lesson with Mr Scott-Woodhouse.

I feel very lucky to be working with such a wonderful class who have worked so hard on our first week. Well done!
